Teresa has a long history of competing in elite sport, which began all the way back in high school. She discovered a passion for waterpolo, which led to her representing New Zealand and competing on the world stage to great success.
Whilst training for waterpolo, a friend suggested she give an aquathon a go, due to her swimming prowess. After competing in a couple of local "Stroke and Stride" (swim-run) events, Teresa immediately fell in love with the challenge and variety multi-disclipine events offered. Triathlon was the next logical step forward.
Fast forward a year, and Teresa was once again representing New Zealand, now competing in triathlon, at the famed Youth Olympics. This rapid progress led to her becoming a member of High Performance Sport NZ, racing and training around the globe on the WTCS circuit.
Sadly, after placing an incredible 6th at U23 World Championships, Teresa was diagnosed with compartment syndrome and required major surgery to both of her legs. Chronic fatigue and burnout made the road to recovery very challenging, however with endless support from family and her support network, Teresa's triathlon career was just beginning.
Perserverance paid off, as Teresa was victorious in some of Australasia's biggest events, including 2 Ironman Asia-Pacific titles, a Port of Tauranga Half, Ironman Western Australia, and her "home" Ironman, Ironman New Zealand. These spectactular results led to Teresa being ranked number 1 in the world by the Professional Triathletes Organisation in April 2021.

Dan spent his early years on a mountain bike before making the switch to road cycling in high school. This proved to be a good decision as he quickly became one of the best junior riders in the country. He won two national titles at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cycling Championship - the national hill climb championship and the overall individual championship title.
The next year Dan represented New Zealand overseas, racing agaisnt some of the best junior riders in the world.
Unfortunately, a few heavy crashes and a focus on university studies after high school meant some time away from racing.
However, Dan still rode his bike every day commuting to work and spent a few years focusing on his running as well as learning to swim. Dan decided to try his hand at triathlon where he came away with immediate success. A national duathlon title and a sprint distance age group triathlon national title were some of the highlights.
The road bike was still calling though, and Dan headed back into road racing. This was highlighted with two laps around the famed Tour of Southland and three appearances at the UCI 2.2 New Zealand Cycle Classic tour.
Throughout this time Dan also guided Teresa in her triathlon career. Perfecting her bike fit, teaching her about training principles and how to train with power. Dan's attention to detail and constant drive to improve himself and find ways to help Teresa become faster has inadvertently led to Dan becoming an extremely knowledgeable coach and bike fitter.
