Do you coach complete beginners?
Yes, we coach athletes of all levels. From beginners to advanced athletes.
What equipment do I need?
You will need the essentials required to compete in a triathlon race if that is your end goal eg: wetsuit, goggles, race suit, bike, helmet, bike shoes and run shoes.
Aside from that we can begin to coach you with nothing more than access to the internet as our coaching is online based. However things like HR monitors and GPS watches help with programme planning and monitoring your progression.
Beyond that we can analyse more data using things like power meters and FORM swim goggles if you choose to use them.
But again these are not things that you are required to have as a DT Sport athlete.
Do you prescribe nutrition plans?
We offer a one on one consultation option for discussing things such as nutrition around racing and training.
Do you coach Xterra athletes or pure cyclists?
Yes, we are happy to take on athletes wishing to compete in Xterra races and cycling races. Both our DT Sport coaches have competed in cycling and mountain bike races. Please get in touch to find out more about either of these options.
How much does it cost?
We charge $50 per week for online triathlon coaching. You will recieve a free Training Tilt account where we will upload your personalised training plan. There is a minimum 12 week sign up. No additional start up fees.
We also offer one on one cycling skills sessions to DT Sport athletes. These are $150 per hour. Auckland based as we will ride out and meet you on the bike for a fully personalised session tailored to your specific needs.
What software do you use to prescribe training?
We use the Training Tilt platform to prescribe training and communicate with our athletes.
